10- Mount Douglas

This was a pleasant yet fairly short walk, though not without its difficulties. I joined a meetup group in Victoria to find walking buddies and it turned out to be great idea. I met a lady called Erin and her cute dog to get a lift to the trail head. We were originally going to walk elsewhere but when we arrived everyones cars were getting stuck in the snow. We ended up having to push Erins car out of a snow bank which was amusing if a little time consuming. We all (about 11 of us in various vehicles) hastily decided to head to the much more well trodden Mount Douglas route. When we finally all made it over there we strolled up a very icy path to the top. Towards the top it was more sliding and climbing with lots of laughs involved. We had some snacks and pictures at the top before descending. The views of Victoria in the sunshine were great and the sun was warm despite the still lingering snow. It was good to meet some new people and find yet another nice Victoria trail.
