What an utter happy joy, it took some time after i had to save up some more cash in the UK to come back over to Canada but i made it at the end of January. I set out from my friends house fairly early on account of jetlagged wakefullness and had a great stroll down to the ocean at Jericho beach. I met a friendly older woman and her little wet sandy dog and she told me her story as we sat on a log soaking up the sun. She was recently single after losing a long term partner to cancer and had moved to the middle of Vancouver for the hustle and bustle and to re-take up ballet in an intensive course. We walked together a bit then i carried on along the shore and through Kitsilano past many crazy mansions with insane water features and statues. I stopped for supermarket croissants and after a while more walking made it to Granville island. As it was January it was quite quiet and i had a little explore before getting a coffee. I sat at a plastic table in the middle of the market and started writing my journal before a work group on their lunch break came and joined me and we ended up having a fun chat. Found a friend of a friend i was meeting afterwards and we strolled along main street checking out the graffiti before getting burritos and coffee. A long walk back down main street for me and to gastown to meet another friend of a friend for more coffee. A lovely, social day and lots of walking!
Number 5 No idea- probably about 8km
