A much shorter day than previously as we climbed a little higher. We stopped on the way this morning to check out a temple with a huge prayer wheel in the centre of it and generally went at a relaxed pace. The walk only took about 4/4.5 hours so we were in Lho by lunchtime with a bit of extra time to acclimatise to slightly higher altitude. Lho is a sweet village and it felt welcoming. Little kids ran around at our guesthouse and the sun came out. The guesthouse itself was cosy and had a nice bright common area- a lot of places on the trail can be a bit damp/dark. They had gardens filled with flowers and little wooden cabins (a bit like a garden shed!) for guests. Cath and I walked up to a monastery on the nearby hill with an older Aussie pair we met who were lovely. The monastery was quiet with a big temple. We saw no monks, just builders doing some work on the surrounding buildings!
A pleasant and easy day- about 9.6km
