Last of the longer hiking days today. The track was generally more level and easier to walk on today allowing lots of time to look around at the still incredible views. We passed through the villages of Rana and Bihi Phedi before stopping for another hearty dal bhat lunch in Ghap. The guesthouse/restaurant we stopped at was beautifully painted with Buddhist pictorial stories and patterns and was very bright. A lot of new, attractive guesthouses are popping up in the villages along the circuit as the route gains popularity with trekkers looking for something different to Annapurna or Everest Base Camp treks. We arrived into Namrung around 4pm and were again pleased with how comfortable the guesthouse was. We had a big room with a bench outside and (very excitingly) a clothes line to hang our now extremely smelly hiking gear to air out. We could now feel the chill in the air in the evenings and the extra layers have come out of our rucksacks. It is strange to think that several nights ago we were sleeping in a vest top and shorts!
about 17km and 7 hours walking
