A short hour or so up and down but a fun and steep climb on this one! I set out after work as i’d been feeling frustrated and in need of a little mission and this was perfect. A muddy climb over roots and rocks leading up and up to a section with a rope to help was very enjoyable. It’s a little hard to follow with lots of side trails snaking off but my map app helped me. When I got to the top the view was a little obscured by clouds by not a total whiteout and I could still see the bay below and the surrounding area- breathtaking. There were a few other people at the top who i got chatting to and we watched a grey whale in the bay below us. On the way down i managed to stay relatively mud free until two minutes before i got back to the beach when i submerged my foot in mud.
Back at Cox Bay I found a gap between surfers and went for a chilly dip in the water- beautiful! I went home feeling much more relaxed. A good little soujourn.
