22- Elk Falls, Lady Falls, Wild Ginger trail, Lupin Falls, Canyon View trail

Lots of little gems all lumped together in one post. These were all a couple of KM or less long but were lovely little nature walks with lots of waterfalls involved. We visited Elk Falls on the way out of Campbell River as we drove towards Buttle Lake and had a toddle over the scary suspension bridge. The falls were pretty impressive, as were those at Lupin falls which we visited after setting up at Buttle Lake Campsite. We had a chilled out drive along the east side of Buttle Lake and stopped to admire the lake/mountain scenery and did the easy little Wild Ginger walk.

The next day we got up and went to Lady Falls on the way to the Elk River trail. The spray from the falls soaked us as we stood on the viewing platform. On the way back from the Elk River trail I camped near Campbell river and spent another couple of hours walking the Canyon View trail. After the longer walk i’d done in the morning this turned out to be a little bit too much as i took absolutely no water or snacks thinking i was just off for a little stroll, and ended up having to go back on myself when the loop i wanted to do was closed. Stunning and initially relaxing riverside walk though.
